The Administrative Authority ok NKOK special Economic Zone signed yesterday at the Administrative headquarter of the Zone, a partnership agreement with the Chamber of Commerce to provide industrial investors with subcontracting consulting services.

AAN SEZ of NKOK Executive officer Sèdji Armel Mensah and Gabon Chamber of Commerce chair Jean Baptiste Bikalou, with this partnership, paved the way to industrial companies seeking for better subcontracting offers as well as providers to drain fructuous market for investors. “It was unthinkable for us not to select the Chamber of Commerce, whose prior role is to boost SMEs in Gabon” said Sèdji Armel Mensah.

The Chamber of Commerce through its Chair Jean Baptiste Bikalou, welcomed the partnership on subcontracting because it will foster SMEs growth. “This partnership with the Chamber of Commerce is a must to grant investor the opportunity to make the good selection among the different subcontracting companies. The chamber of commerce has a huge network of subcontractors” stated Chamber of Commerce Chair Jean-Baptiste Bikalou.

Subcontracting opportunities will be facilitated by both the Chamber of Commerce (bridge between SMEs and the AAN) and the AAN SEZ (to ensure the link between industries and SMEs through the Chamber of Commerce subcontracting exchange).

This subcontracting service is far from only adding added value to the SEZ, but also to encourage the diversification of Gabon’s economy in order to face oil prices drop. This a new step forward for Gabon SEZ of NKOK to encourage locally added value of the largest free-trade zone of its kind in Central or West Africa.
