The Gabonese government signed yesterday with the Digital Infrastructure Management Company and Axione/Bouygues Energy & Services, an agreement entrusting them with the management of the Gabonese branch of the ACE marine cable.

The current agreement will enable local internet providers and mobile phone companies in the likes of Solsi, Ipi9, Wifly, Airtel, Azur, TLDC, Digicom, and Internet Gabon, to benefit from the optical fibre via the ACE marine cable.

The minister for digital economy, Pastor Ngoua Neme, who supervised the signing, indicated that this agreement will free users from the dependency on a sole internet provider and avoid the recently experienced inconveniences.
