The International Association of francophone mayors (AIMF) in partnership with the European Union granted Gabon with a budget of about 50 000 U.S. dollars to create addresses in Libreville, Gabonese capital where the streets and avenues are not named or numbered.

This funding agreement was concluded last Tuesday in Libreville between the Mayor of Libreville, Rose Christiane Ossouka Raponda and Christina Martins Bareira before Gabon’s Prime Minister Daniel Ona Ondo.

54.76% of funding will be contributed by the European Union.

Initiated for several years now, the Libreville addressing project has never led. The city situated on a hilly grew anarchic way. Vast expanses of the city are not accessible by car.
