Gabon to play 2017 AFCON qualifiers
Gabon, host of the 31st edition of the African football Cup of Nations (AFCON 2017) will also take part in the playoffs that start this weekend on June 12th and 13th, according to an official statement released last Thursday at the CAF headquarters in Egypt.
Gabon will evolve in Group I, in the company of the Côte d’Ivoire, Sudan and Sierra Leone. Gabon’s first game will take place in Abidjan against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
Gabon’s matches will be considered blank and the point won’t count.
