The opposition rejects the idea of a revision of the electoral list saying it requires a number of prerequisites.

The meeting on October 2nd between the representatives of political parties and the interior minister, Pacôme Moubelet Boubeya, has reached an impasse. Following the conversations, a section of the opposition found itself at the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), around the president of the party, Pierre-Claver Maganga Moussavou. And then decided to object, in the present state of things, the revision of the electoral list.

"We do not see quite frankly, why we have to worry about how to revise the electoral lists when it is not known who will take care of biometric review. How to avoid having duplicates ? How to avoid the kits that are illegally and fraudulently held by some government supporters that are not recovered or not usable, "explained the president of PSD, Pierre-Claver Maganga Moussavou.

For the mayor of the town of Mouila, this list of defects that must be addressed, "since the former operator Gemalto recognized that the system was not yet completely reliable."
