Second Prime Minister of Ali Bongo Ondimba, between February 2012 and January 2014, Raymond Ndong Sima left the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG), the ruling party since independence in Gabon. He stated that there is a lack of free speech in the party and denounced the excesses in economic and social policy of the current government.

The former Prime Minister, who had already left the national office in 2014, considers that “there is no way, within the party, to argue different points of view. Any criticism is considered totally unwelcomed. "So I think we can not continue to stay within the party, while one has no chance to reach an idea that challenges or contradicts the guidelines that we are following, “he told RFI radio this morning.

Among the criticism that he address to the current government : poor financial governance. “On the management of public finances, everybody agrees that since 2013 – 2014, nobody sees exactly how the budget is implemented.

One has the impression that numbers are given out of the blue because it must give something, and, hence, those numbers would be fictitious, “he says, arguing that ” the administration services, do not see the entirety of their budgets. “Raymond Ndong Sima also believes that “the budget law that was passed this year was not presented in regular forms.”
