Unesco and Marcel Doupamby Matoka Foundation sign a cooperation agreement

The national commission for the UNESCO chair and Education Minister Ida RETENO ASSONOUET and the Foundation Marcel Doupamby Matoka, signed, last April 17th,an cooperation agreement in the fields of education and youth development.

Through this cooperation, the two entities committed themselves to the organization of joint activities, designed and defined in the agreement party, such as symposiums, seminars, workshops, publications and other activities of the same nature.

"Under this agreement, we particularly agree to work to the revitalization and the promotion, Gabon and the Central African subregion, two networks of Unesco, namely: the system of Unesco’s associated schools network and the movement of Unesco clubs, centres and associations", assured Ida RETENO ASSONOUET.

To initiate the implementation of this partnership, the two institutions intend to launch by 2017 a bi-annual and regional prize with a value of 5,000,000 francs intended to reward and encourage the contributions for the promotion of the UNESCO’s achievements.
