Students demonstrate for school resumption
Ntoum private high school students went down the streets yesterday to demonstrate their unhappiness on the school frozen situation launched by the United Dynamic Union, the collaboration of Unions claiming for salaries augmentation.
The demonstrators blocked the national road 1, the unique link between Gabon’s capital and trhe rest in order to show up their anger.
The road blockage caused a huge traffic jam for several hours. “We call for the immediate school resumption, for the year is ending. This is the Government responsibilities to set school facilities.” A student said.
Police officers went there as soon as they could and appease the situation. They put the traffic back to normal while arresting some demonstrators.
