The Trade Minister recently met with a delegation of diplomats from Morrocco.

Recently appointed to the Ministry of Trade, Madeleine Berre is working to revitalize trade between Gabon and its partners. Hence the recent working session she had with a delegation of the Embassy of Morocco in Gabon. From these discussions, it is clear that Morocco is ready to assist our country in the areas of trade, crafts, framing of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and tourism.

"If it is true that the balance of trade between Morocco and Gabon shows an imbalance in favor of the first mentioned, the fact remains, that this balance can be revised in the interest of our two countries. All obstacles in the area of trade must be removed. We must give meaning to our cooperation, "said Madeleine Berre.

Regarding crafts, a working meeting was already held last June between the Moroccan Minister of Handicrafts and his Gabonese counterpart in Gabon’s participation in "Médiadina" Moroccan fair to which Gabon will take part this year.

To this end, Madeleine Berre requested the preparation of a memorandum on crafts. "No opportunity should overlooked for promotion and enhancement of our talent," she said, confirming its willingness to advance support for the current level artisans to international standards.
