Bissau Guinean National Assembly Speaker, Cipriano Cassama speaking in Libreville on Wednesday expressed his country’s willingness to benefit from Gabon’s experience in the consolidation of peace in Guinea Bissau, which has been mired in a cycle of constitutional crises for over a decade.

"Guinea Bissau came to Gabon to learn from its experience and see what can be applied by our parliament to consolidate the still fragile peace. I also took the opportunity to present the political situation of our country,” Cassama said after meeting Gabonese Minister for Relations with Constitutional Institutions, Leon N’zouba.

Guinea Bissau National Assembly Speaker, who arrived on Monday, met his Gabonese counterpart, Guy Nzouba.

Mr. Cassama’s visit comes a year after that of the Minister of State and Special Advisor to Guinea Bissau’s President, Jean Jos in June 2014.

He was received by Prime Minister Daniel Ona Ondo
