The Sylvia Bongo Ondimba Foundation for Family have been working in social issues, and yesterday, they granted the general direction for AID prevention with more than 3,000 AIDS screening kits, as part of the International Day for the fight against this deadly disease.

As AIDS keeps killing silently despite efforts made by the WHO, the Foundation Sylvia Bongo Ondimba (FSBO) for the family had decided to give its contribution on that fight by offering these kits, especially, for screening and preventing mother-to-child transmission to health structures in Oyem and Bitam-Mitzic northern.

These tools will allow to implement pregnant women screening and eradicate mother-to-child HIV transmission by 2020. In addition to these kits, reagents were also offered to laboratories to make screening on newborns.
